“Soul Sake: Sake for the Soul! ” is a sake brewery concept for a Brooklyn-based Sake Brewery.
This brand celebrates the cultural rituals and traditions of sake, which was once considered a mediator between divine beings and humankind. It is also a symbol of tying humans together, most literally used in wedding traditions where the bride and groom share 3 cups of sake. The cups are different sizes, with the smallest representing heaven, the second the earth, and the third humankind.
At Soul Sake, we are committed to fusing old rituals of sake with a new tradition of American Craft Sake. Building on more than 1,000 years of Japanese brewing history, we’re demystifying sake and making it more accessible. Our sake is brewed right here in New York City, hand-crafted with the highest quality ingredients.
Inspiration for the brand of “soul sake” came from the letterpress shop. Type pulled from the shop was printed and then scanned to work with the elements digitally. These elements would be scene throughout the space and on the served bottles.
